No. The calculators work without one, in the app and at sapspyapp.com/calculators.

Yes. Draw-off temperature fetches your elevation and the weather when you have a signal and keeps them.

Each calculator cites its source under the answer, most often a page of the North American Maple Syrup Producers Manual, 3rd edition, and opens the manual to that page.

Yes. Units are at the bottom of the Calculators page: US or metric. Tubing sizes stay in inches.

The density you finish syrup at, 66.0 or 66.9 Brix. It sets the yield, hydrometer and draw-off calculators, and the cost of finishing heavy.

Tap the star on a calculator and it waits at the top of the Calculators page.

Water boils at a different temperature as the barometric pressure changes, and draw-off is 7.1 °F above that. A front can move it a few tenths of a degree.
